New Year’s Celebration | ‘Electric’ Fireworks

New Year’s Celebration | ‘Electric’ Fireworks

Dutch television broadcaster NOS presents a short documentary about the new year’s celebration show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, which was pre-programmed by specialists LD Company using Depence.

Due to the ongoing restrictions regarding open fireworks & public gatherings, this year’s firework was simulated & pre-programmed by LD Company in form of a spectacular light show. With the help of Syncronorm’s multimedia show design & visualization software Depence alongside other top-notch technologies the project was realized right in time for this special evening. The show was then built physically & broadcasted in national TV. As no crowd was allowed, it could be easily watched from home.

It was the first time, that the designers tried to simulate the effects of firework, just with show lighting mechanisms. The 1500 fixture design with approximately 63,000 parameters spread over 200 universes was created within a 3D model of the world-famous Johan Cruyff Arena in the capital city (where also last year’s Sensation – Monument of Light took place). Besides a massive light show, a special children’s show was conducted earlier in the evening, including a dance school.
